To: secret garden

Do you have the space fenced? I used landscape cloth, too because I didn’t want anything getting caught, but nothing stops determined birds from flying in-they just ignore my little scarecrow...

Out here, even the smallest veggie gardens have a 5-7 ft. fence-I brought my own fencing with me for just that purpose. If the smaller critters don’t get in and munch during the daytime, the deer will come and eat everything at night unless the garden plot is game-fenced...

The garden is fenced and the backyard has a 6 ft. cedar fence. I’ve left the gates open for an hour now and hope he has sauntered off.
