It has been a major problem in Japan for a long time. A buddy of mine is in the navy and married a Japanese woman and she is absolutely gorgeous. She says she could rarely get a date in Japan. Men there are simply not interested in mating.
What’s sad is how hard the governments in population declining countries are trying to create incentives for people to have kids. France, another nation with a shrinking population issue, is offering a full year of paid maternity leave for women. Germany is proposing 3 years
I do not doubt this story.
