_Jim,
While your debunking of alarmist articles is something I normally appreciate without always agreeing, skipping the Carrington Event of 1859 there have been five damaging solar flares since 1972. The have taken out part of the AT&T grid in Illinois, certain satilite systems and the similar moderate impacts. A time or two in the last 45 years they have played a part in electrical grid outages or “events”.

As the events are random events within the eleven year solar cycle, they are not unknown and like a comet strike, a super volcano or other similar catastrophe they may be more likely than an Obama Third Term and certainly bear some discussion in a senisble manner.

This isn’t ConTrails.

Here’s a blast of hot plasma in the old eyeballs of climate changelings.

Coincidentally, the spraying of the skies over the South Bay has lessened, maybe they’re concerned of the effects of solar flare activity on micro[particles released in the atmosphere to slow global varming. I have clear blue hazy skies here today that glimmer occasionally but not like they used to earlier this year. :-]
