I'm not sure playing the "weird freaky pedophile" angle on Wonka helped him any.

The cannibal Wonka in "Epic Movie" felt safer...

Depp was enjoyable in "Ed Wood" as the director of unintentionally campy "Plan 9 From Outer Space." As an extra bonus, you got to watch Lisa Marie dancing in the music video -- one of the sexiest dances ever and accompanied by some really spacey theremin music. You do have to ignore horserace Sarah Jessica Parker who is just clumsy and unsexy compared to expert dancer and athletic Lisa Marie.
