No one can relate to cruise. Straight people think of him as uncomfortably gay, gay people think of him as closeted beyond reason, and the world thinks of him as a terrible actor. He looks like a freakily old 24 year old, and the costumes and shooting aren’t gift wrapping his talents.
How do you know Cruise is gay?
For me, when Cruise is on screen, it is Cruise all the time, only Cruise, Cruise, Cruise, Cruise.
He’s not good at being part of an ensemble.
I think he got a bad rap early. First, I thought his role in “Rain Man” was every bit as good as Hoffman’s. Second, while he does play something of a stereotypical character, I really liked him in “Jack Reacher.” And despite his declining draw-—which is more a function of the inability of ANY lead today to be a John Wayne/Charleton Heston-type draw-—he is a pretty consistent moneymaker.
I don’t follow celebrity gossip, but I don’t get the whole “Tom Cruise is gay” thing. Other than he’s “pretty”, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to gay. I mean, I’ve never especially liked him but I never got the impression he was a pervert. (Crazy, perhaps, but not perverse). His teeth were always a li’l scary for me. LOL
