George Clooney is a one trick pony. Great looking, has to be seen as the cool guy in all his movies (including his permanent movie, the tabloids). It’s gets old. So will he.
Maybe this is why George is said to be toying with the idea of dabbling into politics. It would make sense as the next step. It certainly worked for Schwartznegger. Arnold came out with a movie earlier this year, well made, but it failed to excite many people and didn’t last long in the theater.
Clooney has done a couple films where he didn’t play George Clooney. I thought he was hilarious in “Brother, Where Art a Thou.” The problem is he doesn’t do enough roles like that.
No ACTING chops.
Just does the same thing over and over.
I enjoyed his acting to some extent until he made that brilliant comment to Odumbo’s detractors, “He’s your president!”
Now I despise this idiot.
All of these actors are one-dimensional and keep playing the same roles over, and over, and over, and over. It gets really boring.
My favorite Clooney film (as much as I detest and hate his politics) was oddly quirky “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou” loosely based on Homer’s “Odyssey” (which I never read). “Up In The Air” was pretty good, too.
