Why should ISIS fly airplanes into skyscrapers that they expect to own within a few years?
The attacks of 9/11/01 seem to have had the desired effect on American society. We have since twice elected a president who is openly sympathetic to radical Islam and who has been freeing Taliban operatives for years. Our so-called “opposition party” can barely muster the will to make idle threats about what they’ll do if he frees any more of them.
Talked to a friend of mine who was a flight attendant working on 9/11. After the towers were hit, she and her crew were on an an active taxiway and told to go back to the gate. The flight was almost empty and being the lead flight attendant, she went through the cabin to explain to each passenger that they were going back to the gate. All the passengers took it in stride as no one was aware of what was happening. However, there were 2 middle eastern men, sitting far apart, and when she told each of them that American airspace was shut down, she got the same reaction from both. Lips grimly pursed, quiet anger and silence as they each slowly turned to look out their windows.
Not to mention the ME men living next to her brother who had a huge outdoor party on 9/11/01, whooping it up until the wee hours of the night. Oh, and the party was preplanned. In the middle of the week. On a school night.
They knew.
