I didn’t see anything new in the trailer. I used to think that movie was the actual story of King Arthur. It’s not even close, however. It takes some of the stories and changes the characters as well as the context to create something entirely different. Still, it’s one of my favorite movies.

There wasn’t anything new - it was just another guy’s view on how he’d do the trailer - using original scenes.
I don’t think Boorman set out to make a documentary.

To be fair, people have been doing that since the 12th Century.
And it's closer than "The True Story Behind the Legend"
