Last Tuesday, Plante said, "Just to make sure no rumors begin, I'm telling you I'll be out tomorrow, and I ain't been fired."
Well, he was out WED, THU, FRI, and he's out again today. They said on the radio this morning that he's on vacation. Has anybody heard anything about this?
That part about him worrying about rumors and the fact that "tomorrow" has turned into 4 days of tomorrows makes me suspicious.

Mary Catherine Hamm was filling in for him last week and said that he was on a cruise? I cannot remember which day that she said that.
He actually mentioned that dust-up when he told us he’d be out on WED. Joked about not being fired over the whole thing. It struck me right away as strange. Plante is always vicious toward the enemy, and I couldn’t imagine why this particular savaging would make him say that.

Damn - I’ve missed him . He and Michael Savage are the only guys I listen to ( via podcast as I am in Japan ) on a regular basis .
Did he screw up?
The 2 fill-ins just said he’s “on a cruise” somewhere. He announced last week that he’d be going away for a “scheduled vacation”.
Very suspicious. I heard him announce clear as day, “I will be out TOMORROW, and it’s a scheduled thing...” He sure didn’t say anything about a week-long cruise.
Contract problems maybe?

Another week of boring subs/fill-ins... (((SIGH))) There’s always podcasts, or another station, to listen to. Cheer-up.
You’re most welcome. Looks like he took a few extra days off prior to the cruise. I get stir-crazy/nuts confined on a boat/ship, or I’d go along, too. Heh.
Quinn was a STRONG conservative voice in The PGH market for
20 years. His popularity spread into other markets. Unlike many of his peers he actually did extensive homework and
show prep. He had the 6 am to 10 am slot. We “shared” many
travel miles together from about 1994-—then-—just minutes
from showtime one morning-—without notice-—his program was
shut down. Almost 7 mos now AND not a peep has been heard.
It’s as if he was abducted into a monastery somewhere-—but
with his kinky sense of humor that would be impossible!!

This guy is freaking quick with the most hilarious comments - like Rush Limbaugh on too much caffeine and too late to bed.
Rush calls Kerry “Lurch”. Plante calls him “Neck Bolt”.
“Cruise”? I’ll bet he’s getting a colonoscopy! That’s his kind of humor. Maybe the IRS ordered one for him.
My kids burst out laughing with me as we hear him in the car.
I am VERY suspicious about this cruise story.
1. I don’t recall him extensively talking it up just before sailing. Usually, it’s talk, talk, talk. Maybe it had been all booked up early, and he didn’t need to talk about it. Who knows?
2. The ship sailed on 6/22, and I KNOW I heard CP say on 6/17, “I will be out TOMORROW.” You do not say, “I will be out TOMORROW,” if you are going to be out for the next TWELVE DAYS.
What gives?
