Probably a good bet that he does. Just sucks all around for him and his family.
Hard enough being a farmer and making ends meet, feeding your family, keeping the lights on and the roof overhead.
Hell... it’s hard for everyone to do those things right now.
Assuming these were chicks that he lost, that’s even worse; those are his future producers, and all the work that went into raising them, keeping them alive and healthy.
Again, I hope the local people rally around him and help him out. That’s what America is... fundamentally decent folks helping each other out when crap happens.
At least it always was when I was growing up.
