Technically, yes. I've never gutted one by myself. Basic rules apply... one hand for meat, the other for skin.

I bring my own knives to parties like that.

Slaughter and butchery out of the way...... I'm sure I can make a fine meal out of black bear. They eat mostly veggies and bugs.
