Once again, I’m saying that because of Clinton and the Democrats not convicting ... that anyone with a memory of that in Congress is NOT GOING TO DO SO - BLACK OR WHITE - because the Democrats will do the same thing again.

How many people had died because of Obama's reckless illegal, unconstitutional decisions star boy?
Can it be a coup if you detain somebody while still providing the opportunity for them to go right back to the White House if through due process they can show that in spite of the evidence that caused him to be detained, he actually HASN’T been funding, training, arming, releasing, etc the people with whom America is at war?
I am not talking about removing a President from office.
There has to be a way to protect the country from what a desperate enemy in the White House could do, even if impeachment proceedings were underway. If impeachment was for treason/waging war against the US, national security would DEMAND that he be disabled from acting as POTUS in the interim. Yet the system as you describe it would allow him full access to the nuclear football (for instance) even if he was being charged with attacking America - because if he were arrested he would be prevented from using the nuclear football...
(If he’s really an enemy, that is the whole point. Give the nuclear football responsibilities to the next person in the line of Presidential succession just like the Constitution prescribes, until it can be seen if there is some reason that the evidence of treason - without which military detainment WOULD be a “coup” but WITH which military detainment is necessary and authorized “national security” - is not valid.)
If the Secretary of Defense was found to be conspiring with Al Qaeda to allow them to carry out a hit on America, could he be arrested or detained? Being arrested would keep him from carrying out his duties, ya know - which is supposedly the same reason that a POTUS can’t be arrested, according to DOJ opinion. Never mind that BOTH have back-ups to perform the necessary Constitutional functions if they are disabled from doing so for any reason - health, imprisonment, death, Constitutional disqualification, etc.
I can see a POTUS not being arrested for reckless driving or something - stuff that political opponents like Ronnie Earl or the people who tried to bankrupt Sarah Palin with frivolous lawsuits might try just to keep a POTUS from being able to do anything. But conspiring with Al Qaeda to attack America and destroy her is a totally different story, and it needs to be treated differently, just as a speeding ticket is treated differently than a plane being flown into the Pentagon. If the DOJ and/or judges are incapable of seeing the difference, then we’re in big, big trouble.

If on 9-12-01 there was video footage of George Bush training the 9-11 terrorists 6 months earlier, handing out US birth certificates to them, and giving them a million dollar bill, do you think an impeachment of Bush would have been treated a bit differently than Clinton’s impeachment was?

Don’t go on the basis of totally made-up and fake scenarios, but what is real right now and what we have in the US Constitution.
If things rise to the point where DEMOCRATS in the Senate figure that it is worth going against a man who is of their own party - THEN AND ONLY THEN - will you see a conviction in the Senate.
Short of that, it’s totally dead in the water.
What makes you think it’s a fake scenario?
All it takes is one bomb and the already-documented arming, funding, training, releasing, etc of Al Qaeda by the foreign enemy combatant in our White House right now would be JUST LIKE the scenario I presented - EXCEPT that the video of the POTUS training, providing legal cover for, and funding the terrorists in the real scenario was already known LONG BEFORE the attack, with a substantial portion of the US public making a loud racket pointing out that the POTUS was doing those very things that could destroy America - AND that he was illegally put into office through the crimes (forgery, threats, murder, perjury, etc) of America’s enemies, specifically to destroy the country from within.
IOW, the scenario I’ve presented is eerily real. And more and more Americans are waking up to that fact with each new lawless, anti-American fang that Obama lets hang out in full view.
But to summarize the point we may both agree on: if and when Congress realizes they are dealing with somebody who truly means to kill a LARGE portion of America in order to turn the USA into tyranny (like, maybe the government already has the hollow-point bullets and body bags ready for it to happen, just like they advertised for people to transport large numbers of unattended illegal children 6 months before the invasion of children that so “surprised” them just now...) - and they know that the whole country sees it - then and only then will they act like we’re dealing with an existential threat.
Well, Congress, get your heads out of your arses because middle America is beginning to understand who Obama is and what he is about. Get out of your drunken cocktail parties long enough to realize you are the ONLY idiots who are still acting like we’re in the middle of a party when the plane’s been hijacked and headed toward the Twin Towers.

That’s the thing about fake scenarios ... one can “make up a million of them” to every ONE REAL-LIFE EVENT.
OK, I was wrong on one point: Congress is apparently not the only idiot pretending we’re still having a party when the plane’s been hijacked and is heading toward the Twin Towers. There are still people having the fun time of arguing over how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, while the plane is headed toward the Twin Towers.
We have a Constitutional Republic that the Founding Fathers gave to us. I intend to keep it as intact as I can, while working within their system they gave us (and there have been changes since then, too) - to make whatever changes I can, and keeping this Constitutional Republic intact.
We are a “nation” that has to work together, and if we don’t and don’t do so within the structure that has been given to us ... then it’s simply going to be destroyed, and there’s nothing one can do about it.
When I say that there is nothing one can do about it, I’m talking about if one is in a small minority, while a majority overrides that small minority. I don’t think it’s to that point, but it could get to that point. And if it does, then it’s basically out of my control at that point in time. It’s not right now.
SO ... I’ll continue preserving what I can of the US Constitution and won’t work to overrule it or override it, and seek to make changes in what we have right now in front of our faces, and in a “real-life way” (not in imaginary circumstances), and in a practical sense (not wasting effort where nothing will be accomplish in real life in a practical sense).
That’s my position and I won’t be participating in any “extra-Constitutional” ideas or schemes, no matter who else does, either here or with the Democrats.
Blah blah blah. You apparently confuse the Constitution with a DOJ opinion that a traffic ticket and flying a plane into the Pentagon are to be handled the same way.
I don’t buy it, and I don’t think anything within our system truly buys that either. If Obama ordered all planes with Congress members on board to be hit by the Manpads he gave Al Qaeda, every last one of these critters would be calling for his arrest before he could get the attacks lined up.
I think they’re all just kidding themselves that what we’re seeing is speeding tickets when it’s really a hijacked plane.

You’ll find that God, many times, “wakes up people” by giving them what they want. God judges nations, and one can certainly make the case that God has given people what they want, which turns out to be the judgment of God, in the process of getting what they want.
America is way past the time for God’s judgment. I have a feeling we haven’t seen the full extent of his judgment upon America yet.

But we are still called to be light and salt in the middle of it. How can I look at what is happening and not try to do anything I can to save life, if possible?
I can still speak to the salvation that the Messiah of Israel offers, as the Son of God, even if the nation is under the judgment of God.
The message of the Gospel is the true “order of business” for Christians. Reforming government is not the order of business that Christians were given as “marching orders”.
Reforming government will be a “by-product” of more people “becoming a Christian” in their own life ... but that just happens to be “incidental”. It’s good, but it’s incidental.
Things will grow worse and worse, however, according to the Bible - so don’t be surprised by it. Do what you can, but keep mind what the first and primary “order of business” is for the Christian ... it’s to spread the Gospel.
It’s to spread the Gospel with words and life, being people of truth witnessing to both Law and Gospel.
I wonder how many people have been rendered incapable of receiving the Law and Gospel because they have accepted the post-modern lies promulgated by our government and the political machine. And the churches. The 2 beasts of Revelation. Steal, kill, and destroy - that’s all these 2 beasts do, and it’s not just temporal things they steal, kill, and destroy. Ultimately the one puppet-master of both beasts seeks to steal, kill, and destroy human souls, and his plans are very, very effective when they are not confronted with truth.
