Why should I have to pay just because someone wanted to make whoopy? That takes away from everyone else at the workplace from getting a pay raise and for their customers having to pay more for purchased items to help cover someone who is home eating bonbons between diaper changes.
We can make the economic and ethical case against this requirement without denigrating motherhood. Without motherhood, none of us would be here.
