My huge Zenith floor model died several years ago. Great company. I keep a smaller older TV because it plays our old 8 track recorded cartoons which my grandson loves. One of these days maybe I’ll transfer them to something a little more modern or maybe not. Also have a huge bunch of 78’s and 45’s and kept an old computer which has DOS loaded on it, as well as some old floppy disks with real data. Have taught my grandson some of the DOS commands and he thinks it’s really cool.
I’ve always felt grandparents need to keep remnants of their past and share them with their grandkids. Only way they are going to be able to experience them.
There’s hope, 3D. I have three, youngest graduated a year ago. All three have good careers started. It just takes dedication, drive, creativity and a willingness to go where the jobs are (a useful degree helps, too). My oldest graduated five years ago, got into tourism in Canada after finishing her Master’s and moved to Hawaii with a good promotion. Our middle one has a science degree, is a sports trainer and loves her work. The third graduated with a business degree and quickly landed an excellent job in Silicon Valley (as have all of his friends). Believe it or not, there is lots of high-paying work here but you have to brave the incredibly insane housing prices.

The land is still fertile and covered with forests. The mineral wealth is still there. The Republic cannot fall from the outside unless our nuclear deterrent is actually betrayed and even then physically occupying us is impossible unless we’re all dead.
It may get tough, nasty, and screamy here, but when that is over I’m confident there will still be Americans here, a hell of a lot less parasites, and a lot of new politicians.

I often wonder if that’s why the US/Poroshenko in Ukraine has escalated the shelling in order to provoke Putin into war with the US.
I say this because Brics is already planning and beginning to use their own currency....and so there’s a fight to secure the US Dollar now under threat because without the US being the “World Currency” and control of the “World Payment System”, it looses it’s power to impose sanctions on other countries....which is also a power for US Financial Institutions to prevail over other countries financial institutions.
The fact The EU/Britain/ Germany and Russian representatives are meeting over Ukraine without the US is a stunning development...it’s beginning to look like the Eu and Nations across the ocean have found themselves in a position where they no longer want to comply with the US/Obama’s agenda’s.....and perhaps even go it without the US if it comes to that.
Oh I agree that Trump is a character and wouldn’t invest a dime in any of his schemes.
Whats important is that he’s willing to go public with this. Especially considering who he chums around with. He’s associated with the real business people and people with money.
I’ve switched to teaching them survival..
how to build a fire, how to build a shelter, how to fire a weapon (my oldest anyways. the 6 year old is a good shot but not quite ready to handle a weapon), how to get clean water..
it’s sad I have to teach my kids to defend and live off the land. I suspect it might be needed.
Teach him/her how to shoot.

My all-time fave is a pic I posted on Facebook of my parents with my three and my brother’s newborn. Mind you, my youngest was six months at the time. Our friend wrote congrats on number four, commented how early in the year it was for me to have another baby (spring), and complimented me on how well I hid the pregnancy. He is quite the comedian.

My over 50 children have not done as well. Merging companies and foreign purchases of others have not been as able to cope. Warehouse management of paper products for businesses and grocery stores, JC Penney art director, Piper Aircraft pay cuts and shortened hours, merged insurance companies eliminating positions, and on and on. All have college degrees and now working 2 and 3 part time jobs, no benefits. Just 2 continue to do well!
I can not imagine their future employment possibilities. Retirement must be a nightmare for them.
he has hypertonia, it’s very hard for him to hold a rifle.. if he uses a stand he’s fine. I need to get a hold of a light pistol for him to learn.
