Poor Knuckles. Your locale gets some serious storms.
Day 4 of WW...wasting away, here...need MEAT!
I jest. I’m just afraid when this week is over, I will have to head to the store, and there probably isn’t enough in the change purse for a bag of lettuce. However, I have lots of chicken soup. On the bright side, payday is only 11 days away!
It’s interesting to find ways to eat what’s allowed without using up all my points for the week... ;o] I even managed to walk about 10 minutes but I don’t think it was enough. If I can get up and feel slightly energetic, I can walk 15-20 minutes, just around the property. I think one of my neighbors, who walks every sidewalk in the complex every day, said it was 1.5 miles by the time he got done.
I will see if I can work up to that. I’m battling ulcers again, so my stomach isn’t that nice to me. I have only one banana left so I will make two ulcer cocktails before the day is out.
I suspect that it's a place my story-candler friend spent some time in, after ... well, you don't need to know after what. Then you won't have to deny knowing it, you know?
The Story Candler of Jasons Harbor (04/23/2005)
Story candles are great anywhere, but that seems like the kind of place where they might have been developed.
Ohman. I hate to cry.
It’s good for you. Helps clear out your sinuses.
But then my eyes get all red and puffy and I start to choke when I talk. And then I have to go assume the fetal position, turn my blanny up to “Toast” and suck my thumb.
Not fair.
I find my sinuses are worse after crying than before, no matter how much my nose runs.
I left home about 7:30 this morning to pick up Cary, from my prayer group and choir, to go to a meeting. We got lost going there, because a bunch of streets were closed, and then we got even more lost on the way home and ended up in Polkton, at the far eastern edge of the county. But we had a nice drive in the RX-7 and time to visit, so it worked out anyway.
If you don’t have meat, do you like beans or peas or chickpeas or any other vegetable protein? What about peanut butter? That’s high in Points, but it’s a quick protein/fat boost when you need it.
Thursdak, discovered quite accidentally late in the first watch on a Thursday after someone asked what day it was and the response being interrupted by the sensor alarms.
The “ack!” Statement being left on the nomenclature as a ribbing to the speaker.
Though “ack” would have suited better but was already taken by a planetoid best described as “hyperslick mud riddled with hydrocarbons and tentacles NOT found in degenerate nianimated movies.”
I have meat in the freezer, but it’s in the form of roasts. I used the last of the frozen chicken breasts today, and I’ve been cutting them in half. The salad greens are almost gone, too, but like I said, I have plenty of chicken noodle soup.
Beans, I can eat, but not as a steady diet. I still have some 17-bean soup in the freezer. I could make chili but I don’t have enough freezer bags to store it, so it will have to wait till payday, when I can get some more freezer bags.
It’s vegetables and fruits that I need the most. I have canned fruit, but once I open the can, I may as well throw it out. I don’t like cold, canned fruit in syrup. I like it at room temp, and Walmart doesn’t carry the small cans of fruit. Maybe I should look for the snack sized stuff.
I’m paid up for three months, so I don’t have to worry too much. Though I think I’ve lost several pounds since I started. There seems to be less of me in front of the computer. ;o]
Yeah, I hate it when I end up lost in Polkton as well...
When we arrived in Polkton, I knew where I was and how to get home. Until then, it was, “Why aren’t we coming to Fairview Road, already?”
It’s been a long time since I was so turned around in my own area, but at least I with a friend in a classic sports car.
Friends with a classic sports car are always a good thing...I do not have enough friends with a classic sports car in my life...
When your friend comes from Henderson next time, perhaps you can take her for a ride...or let her drive...no...better not...if it has more than four cylinders, I’m liable to speed...
A friend from church just came by with half a dozen peaches from Utah! I’m gonna die and go to heaven with the first one, I know! LOL!
When my friend from Henderson comes, we will plan a Spree, but I don’t think I’ll let her drive any more than I’d let Tom drive. She’s excitable!
How nice about the peaches! We have a couple breeding fruit flies near the sink. I’ll throw them away tomorrow if DP doesn’t do it.
The gentleman who hosted our meeting on the far side of nowhere today had a peach tree in his yard, but it was growing tiny, greenish peaches. It’s almost always too cold here for good peaches.
When I drive around rural Union County, it reminds me of Missouri. Maybe I’ll have good dreams about Missouri and Dad’s car tonight.
You friend from Henderson would never dis you by being “excitable” behind the wheel...I mean...if you got mad at me, how would I get back to the airport?
Oh. Don’t answer that...I just flashed on Elen as chauffeur. :o|
What a beautiful car! Lucky You!
This gal was supposed to bring the peaches on Wednesday, but the weather was so ugly (she teaches band at the local high school) she didn’t dare come over after school. They are preparing for the Macy’s Parade this year, and I’m so exited for her.
She said they were thinking of Wooden Soldier uniforms, which I think is a good idea, but I will find out more, later. She is trying to get the parents to contribute to the $60,000 it is going to cost. So many are dragging their feet. She wonders how their kids will feel when they can’t go because the parents didn’t pay for the tickets and lodging.
I hope it doesn't give you nightmares. Let us say she doesn't have the hand-eye coordination of some of her older siblings. Unnngh.
