You're right. Even if one puts the disease issue aside, illegal immigration will hit the urban poor (mainly blacks) the hardest. Wages will be depressed, and there'll be less government aid money to go around.

I wonder if the black leadership realizes this.

Of course, on the political side, illegal immigration will hit the GOP the hardest. In 20 years (maybe less) the GOP will be just another fussy minority party on the national stage. And that's all the Democratic leadership cares about.
