New Pink Floyd album based on 1994 sessions may be coming this fall

It was 20 years ago this year, Pink Floyd began to disappear. But now it seems the classic British band is about to materialize again.

Polly Samson, the wife of the band's lead singer-guitarist David Gilmour, has announced via Twitter that a Pink Floyd album called

Don't hold your breath on that Cowsills album. While they still do a few shows here and there, they haven't been in the recording studio in nearly 20 years. Their last album ("Cocaine Drain") was released in 2008 but that featured recordings from the late 1970s.

"The Rain, The Park, & Other Things" was recently covered by Olivia Newton-John. Not a fan of that cover but diehard Cowsill fans might want to check it out.

And it was a nice send-off for Rick Wright. Great to hear Gilmour and Wright on "Echoes" one last time.
