No me. Tom Hanks, a communist, is involved with the series. Anything he touches is anti-American, anti-gun, pro-mooselimb, pro-sodomy, pro-abortion propaganda of the vilest sort. The sickening
Forest Gump film, another one of his "artistic efforts", was an anti-Southern, anti-Christian, anti-military non-stop hatefest.
That said, on the Commie News Network (CNN), I did watch a recent Parts Unknown about Mississippi. Anthony Bourdain, another leftist like the insufferable Hanks, actually did present the Magnolia State in a somewhat favorable light, even grudgingly admitting that the real racists are northerners.

not so about Forrest Gump-—it portrayed Jenny’s erstwhile “boyfriend” ,an anti-war radical,
as a self-righteous punk who slugged her when she wouldn’t commit to everything he told her to do.

I didn’t get that vibe from FG. I respect your opinion, Friend but the scene where Lt Dan finally makes “peace with God” and showed the sunrise was excellent.

I have to side with what most are saying about FG. I can see where a person could see the film as anti-military with FG in boot camp. But the scene when he gets on the bus, attempts to introduce himself and basically just gets yelled at I thought was pretty accurate and downright funny, esspecially the look Hanks has when the bus driver is yelling at him.
When he rescues his platoon - that was heroic and inspiring. When the hippie smacks Jenny and everything disappears to him as he comes to her rescue, wailing on that guy. Isn't that what we as men are suppose to do - protect the weak? LT Dan coming to his aid when the hookers are making fun of him. LT Dan's road to Damascus moment during the storm. LT Dan coming to his wedding on metal legs and a Vietnamese wife. I think it was one of the best films ever made.
And I agree with the Freeper who said Forrest Gump was the smartest character in the story.

MLK shared his opinion, btw.

Saving Private Ryan? In any case FG made out the hippies to be screaming idiots and Jennie paied the price for her involvement in that lifestyle.
