Who would honestly want AIDS blood. I mean, maybe if you were suicidal, but no normal person would want it. And why would you fight and shout so you can donate diseased blood? What benefit do you gain other than to rub people’s faces in your sickness?
They aren’t the only ones that can donate blood. Those who have spent time in malarial areas of the world are also prohibited..screening or no screening.
The whole AID’s epidemic was made worse by the lack of screening in the early years. Now there are other blood born diseases that are risk factors..like chagas.
Those pushing for it should volunteer on the spot for a transfusion of ‘gay’ blood.
Note: HIV may take weeks or longer to show a positive result so testing might not exactly reliable. FYI.
