Luiz Felipe Scolari is convinced Brazil can beat Germany and make it through to a dream World Cup final despite Neymars absence.
Brazil will take on Germany at the Estadio Mineirao on Tuesday without their best player and leading scorer, who was ruled out of the World Cup after fracturing a verterbrae in last weeks win over Colombia.
An incredible wave of sadness followed the news that Neymar had been ruled out.
The players shed tears and many of the 200 million football-mad Brazilians feared how their team would cope without their talisman.
But Scolari has moved on from the incident and he has challenged the rest of his squad to reach the Maracana final for their injured star.
'He has done his share. Now its up to us to do our share,' the Brazil coach told a press conference on the eve of the match.

"My faith in Jesus gives me strength to keep on going out onto the field and to do my best," he says. "But I also want to inspire others - that is what God inspires me to do. For me, true life is found in the relationship with Jesus Christ. I believe that everything in life belongs to God and he has a clear plan for us if we follow him." - David Luiz

Even without Neymar, Brazil has the pace to take on the German back four. I think the key player for Brazil will be Oscar - he’s not made much of a name for himself in this tournament, and he’s certainly be inconsistent with Chelsea as befits a young player moving up to the big time, but when he’s “on”, he’s gonna be tough for a less than mobile German defense to handle.
That said, I think the real challenge in this matchup is the German offense vs. the Brazilian defense. If Brazil doesn’t do a better job of staying at home and defending as a team, they’d better darn well hope they’re scoring a bunch, because they’ll need the goals to keep up with the Germans, who will pick them apart.
May be true, but I have a hard time believing much of anything that comes out of Berlusconi’s mouth.
Go Germany!!!!! :-)
It would almost be a total shock if Brazil won.
Though I expect Netherlands to win too, Argentina has a fair chance at that game. Netherlands came through 2 very difficult games but the Dutch can’t be shut down the way some of these other clubs like Belgium and France have been.
Sneijder has been a very good player, he was last time though some would say that Dutch team played a bit ugly at times too.
Soccer-Legend Di Stefano passed away, much bigger at Club than National Team Level I would say. Big player for Real Madrid especially when they won their first Champions League titles. He was suppose to be very good. I’m sure he’s on the youtube channels. Rest in Peace. Prayers.
