What makes me angry is that this has been a “known” problem for decades.
My uncle, a National Match shooter, told me about it in the early 1990’s when I first had an inkling on getting in to target shooting. The man who designed the trigger made recommendations on fixing the issue well before that, but it would have increased the costs so his suggestions were not implemented till the law suits started.
I love my 870, great shot gun, but this is one of the reasons I no longer shoot Remington rifles.
