In their defense, a lot of them don’t hate Jews per se, rather Judaism, or more generally, morality that they find inconvenient.

people who attack Jews and Christians are very often motivated by their hatred or resentment of anything moral or ethical ... it is the Judeo=Christian morality message that these people hate the most
they kill the messengers as their means of attacking the message

Absolutely right. But how do you draw a distinction between Jews and Judaism and, if their goal is to wipe out Judaism how do THEY draw the distinction?
