What I really like about the ads is you've got a pretty girl and her friends having fun and the commercials stay “clean.” You could imagine the same conversations and goofing around with your own friends (ciabatta, musta forgotta).

The Carl’s Junior ads were a great disappointment to the founder of Carl’s, who was a conservative Catholic. But he no longer had control of the company and there was nothing he could do about them.
