I’ll add my vote for the following:

The Unit, Firefly, Terra Nova, IT Crowd, House, Wild, Wild, West, The Prisoner,
WKRP in Cincinnati, Barney Miller, Red Dwarf, Taxi, Hill Street Blues,
Caprica, Are You Being Served, Stargate SG-1, Night Court, The Night Stalker,
Ponderosa, Hill Street Blues.

Babylon 5 was only intended to run 5 years so it wasn’t (almost but not quite) killed early. The follow up Excalibur was fairly good but it never had a chance being the follow up to Babylon 5 which was one of the greatest if not the greatest Sci-Fi series ever.

Star Trek simply wasn’t as high quality as Babylon 5 even though it had more spinoffs which also ran a long time.

JAG was great until the sponsors demanded changes to the actors which killed it for the last year.

Battlestar Gallactica (last version) reached it’s logical conclusion and there was little left to be able to build new material about.

Caprica, The prequil to Babylon 5, really wasn’t cut short, it finished the story it was intended to tell.

“The follow up Excalibur ...”

Was “Crusade” ... not Excalibur, the ship name. And should have been continued.

Agree - B5 stands as the best scifi on or off tv.

“Firefly” was basically “Gunsmoke” set in space - which accounted for much of its popularity.

More seasons of “Farscape” would have been nice also, along with “Stargate Universe” and “Stargate SG-I”.

“Star Trek” - all versions had too many discontinuous story lines to be interesting to me.
