New video shows police offered no medical help to unresponsive Staten Island dad Eric Garner

The seven-minute clip posted Saturday on YouTube shows an apparently lifeless Eric Garner, whose head droops to the side as at least eight cops stand nearby.

“C’mon, guy,” one cop says to Garner, the only thing on the video that suggests any of the officers was trying to help the Staten Island man. “Breathe in, breathe out.”

But Garner, on his side with his eyes closed, doesn’t move at all — even when the officer slaps him on the shoulder. The side of his head remains flat against the concrete, and his eyes never open.

At one point, another officer is seen taking a cell phone and a pack of cigarettes from 43-year-old Garner’s pants

“They purposely killed him. None of the brownshirts gave him CPR which tells you what?”

I doubt it was purposeful but it shows a complete lack of empathy or concern for the life of a human being.

He probably smoked pot. Some here have decided that justifies nazi executions.

This wasn't a bad guy. Everyone who knew him, called him " Bear". He had been a mechanic, loved kids.

These two NYPD undercover cops; NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo (Jersey wearing sport nut)and Officer Justin Damico (tattoe freak) both knew Eric Garner, they were just picking on this guy. It was something they did on a regular basis, because they could. These two undercover vice cops knew Garner wasn't a bad guy, just poor, someone whose limited financial means made him a target for their repeated bullying. And these skanky little wanna be thugs posing as undercover cops got their jollies out of harassing Garner, whenever they could. It's the adult version of picking on the fat kid, and taking his lunch money.

He had just stepped in between some guys and stopped a fight. That was the justification they first used to interrogate Garner. He told them he was tired of being harassed by them.

So they killed him.

“I grew up in the liberal stinking, fetid, rotten, cesspool of New York city and finally got wise and escaped two years ago. When people ask me why I moved I say “Because of was sick of living in the liberals version of utopia, which is like living in North Korea but with food...

...In the liberal Utopia of New York city, every single aspect of your life is dictated and if you do not toe the line they will F you up in the worst way possible. This is what liberals want for the rest of the country.”

Thanks for giving the uneducated masses a first-hand view of what it’s like to live in “The Big Apple”
I think I’ll pass on ever visiting the place. The closest I ever got was seeing the skyline on the way to Atlantic City.

If this were a SINGLE CASE, captain Crunch, I MIGHT consider your opinion.

But the unrelieved list of pet dog killings, assaults on innocent civilians in no knock warrant incidents, destruction of private property, things like people committing suicide in a police vehicle with a gun after their hands were handcuffed behind their backs, and overall paramilitary arrogance, lends no credibility to your assumptions.

And “drop guns” have been used by cops for a VERY long time.

A good number of them are, no doubt.

That’s a sad story; can’t believe there wasn’t a better way to deal with him.

With today’s technology available, one hopes the cops are a little more cautious in how they do their job. The days of shoot first, ask questions later should have gone with the advent of the cellphone camera...

Look at this thread - NYC voted “unhappiest place in the country” Gee, I wonder why!

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3182722/posts

Oh yes, avoid the place at all costs! It’s not the crime you have to worry about but the city itself. It does everything it possibly can to steal your money and destroy you. Breathe the wrong way and they will bury you in fines and tickets. Literally, smoke a cigarette outside and they will ticket you. Cross the street the wrong way they will ticket you, actually that is wrong. They will throw you to the ground first, beat you up then ticket you....

http://nypost.com/2014/01/19/cops-beat-elderly-man-after-he-jaywalked/

It’s North Korea with food, and that is not an exaggeration. How about this guy...Murdered for standing around minding his own business.. Left to die after being attacked by THE COPS!

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/nypd-chokehold-staten-island-man-eric-garner-stripped-shield-gun-article-1.1873033

That city is no joke, it’s run under full blown fascism. The last straw for me was when Bloomberg started demanding landlords submit lists to the city of all their tenants who smoke. What does that remind you off? Nazi Germany in the 1930s “All Jews must register” I’m wasn’t waiting around for that.

Like I asked you last time and you didn’t answer, where did I defend evil? This reporter is making a false claim that is parroted by people who hate the police.

No big deal, I understand people don’t like the cops. This guy was resisting arrest. Had he just gone along with them and had his day in court he’d be alive now. Merits of the law he broke not withstanding. Get arrested, go to court, sue the cops.

Interesting that so many here believe every word from the liberal media and parrot it in their hatred.

I believe it is evil to kill a man during an arrest. You keep insisting the choke hold did not kill the poor man. He was alive before the takedown. Now he is dead.

What I said was, and I’ll say it again, the guy did not die from strangulation or the choke hold. He died from a heart attack. Maybe the police should just stop making arrests on anybody who offers resistance in case they may have a heart attack.

Cops have died from heart attacks making arrests.

What I find interesting is that so many “Freepers,” “Conservative” “don’t believe the media” people parrot what a liberal, cop hating, pro socialist reporter prints in the liberal press.

They also accuse our soldiers of being murderers and baby killers, I suppose you believe that as well.

May you could provide some supporting documentation for your assertion.

I know I can provide dozens of stories of bad cops.

The guy wasn’t even selling cartons of cigarettes. He was selling a cigarette or two at a time. How on earth do you decide to focus on someone doing this in a city of murderers, rapists and burglars, oh my...

The guy was complaining about not being able to breath which is probably what killed him.

He couldn't breathe because he'd had a choke-hold applied to him. Then when he said, about 10 times, that he couldn't breathe did they let him up for air? Nope. They let him die.

The one who applied the choke-hold needs to be charged with murder. His partner needs to be charged with accessory to murder. Everyone else, who failed to render aid, needs to be charged with something and fired. Every one of them. And that includes the witless, do-nothing, female paramedic.

I was taught you don’t do CPR on someone with a pulse and breathing. If this guy had choked so badly that his windpipe was damaged, he wouldn’t be able to breath and CPR would likely not have worked.

I agree with you about the government and taxes, but who’s fault is that? It’s the people that live in these socialist controlled states and vote for socialist politicians. After all, they need those taxes to fund their welfare/socialism projects. Dollars to donuts the guy that died was a taker and not a maker.

By the way, although I did not listen to the audio, this guy clearly resisted arrest. The merits of the law he broke are stupid but evidently he’s been arrested for it before, many times. He should have just gone along with the program, submitted to arrest, paid his little fine and been back out on the street in half an hour selling his cigarettes again.
