I still don’t understand why a child needs an iphone.
A phone yes. After what happened at Sandy Hook and Columbine, my kid would NEVER be a school without one. Or any place with out one.
Most phones these days connect to the internet. Even my regular cell phone does. I never use that feature however.
Because all the other kids have them.
What has been seen, cannot be unseen.
I have seen some fairly horrific things, both in the real world and in images.
What has been seen, cannot be unseen ... but Our Lord Jesus can banish things, can prevent them from poisoning our minds.
This is America, we aren’t limited to needs.
Sheesh, why do you post my question before I do?
I am way up there in age, but I still do not feel the need for an iphone.
I see my beautiful 16-month old granddaughter busily swiping her mother’s iphone and happily pointing at the screen and I feel a deep sadness come over me. What a waste of gray cells.
I see our young hot engineers solving all kinds of problems with canned computer programs and I look at my precious bamboo slide rule and technical books and I know that I can do the same with pencil and paper but I know that they cannot do what I can.
When TSHTF and all lights go out, the EXXONS, the Chevrons and engineering companies will shed their computer jockeys and come running to us old farts for help.
I hope the lights never go out because I don’t see myself working for a boss again.
My little flip dumb phone is very safe. I CANNOT access the internet with it.
Plus, what kid needs a data plan connected to his phone anyway?
Here's a solution. Take the iPhone and give him a dumb phone.
I don’t understand why a child needs any cell phone, but if he/she does, then not an internet ready one.
Nor do I. The "He has an iPhone 4S" kind of jumped off the page at me. The best parental control? Get rid of that damned iPhone. A 10 year old doesn't need it.
