O-voters would gladly vote for him again. They have created an imaginary enemy (conservatives, Tea Party members, whatever) in their mind that is evil and they use that imaginary enemy to focus their hate and provide themselves with a sense of psychological superiority. Fortunately, their psychological game is very vulnerable to reality. Once it starts to cost them personally, they will change their thinking rapidly. Just like the German people changed their mind about Hitler and the 3rd R in Feb 1943, after Stalingrad, when their sons and husbands were no longer.
Unfortunately, it’s probably going to take several years of starvation level poverty and unjust violence to wake some people up, but for many who brought it on, they still won’t change their thinking. They’ll just keep blaming everybody else and seek to steal from others and kill those who remind them of their unrighteousness.
