There could be but air travel is much worse today then it was even 4 or 5 years ago. They are flying at capacity so any hiccup in the system causes tremendous ripple effects. The planes and airports are dirtier, more crowded and more expensive. The airlines pretty much don’t give a crap about customer service and treat you like cattle.
If you complain they’ll boot you off the plane or have you arrested in a heartbeat.
Flying coach 5 years ago was much better than First Class is now. The cabins are dirty, the flight attendants can be downright surly. They'll have you thrown off the plane in a heartbeat. I've seen it.

Customer Service does not extend to giving benefits to those who are not entitled to them. The guy was in the wrong in making a scene when the airlines refused to allow someone he was traveling with to accompany him during priority boarding. Sure, they were his kids but his kids aren’t entitled to anything just because they are his kids.
I’m curious about why the gate agent felt threatened after the Pac had boarded the aircraft unless the pac continued the confrontation after boarding.
Funny thing. Similar thread on a cruise line board about a guy who wanted to take his kids through priority boarding when they were not entitled. Kids were teenagers and one was 21.
