I saw a report just this morning that said sales of breakfast cereal is shrinking considerably.

Perhaps that is because no one cares to spend $5.00 for a $2.00 box of cereal?

You can’t eat cereal without milk and it has gone sky high. Also wonder how much is attributable to the fact that lots of schools are serving breakfast and lunch to kids, even though it’s summer and school isn’t in session.

I quit buying anything from General Mills sometime last year. My grandson loves Post grape nuts for breakfast though. Box of Grape nuts this last weekend was $3.99, up from $3.52 in just two weeks. Box says 20 ounces but they must be making the paper and lining heavier because it was only about 3/4ths full. Used my last $.75 off coupon so guess that’s it for the grape nuts.

Our Dollar Tree has 9 ounce Post shredded wheat and I bought all they had. Even that box has gotten a lot smaller but at least a couple of boxes gets me through a week.
