Well, this is going to go over like a lead balloon, but I am about over the “clinically depressed.” I mean, nothing seems to help these people. They try this medication and that medication, and there is apparently just no cure. So they go on being depressed, and usually making sure their friends and family and co-workers are depressed along with them. I mean... come on.

Yes, they also choose to be clinically depressed, because it is so much fun for them.

Don’t you think they’d ‘come on’ if they could?

Jeez, I hope no one really close to you is diagnosed with depression or God forbid bipolar disorder. Your advice would likely be to ‘come on, get over it. Get up and dust yourself off’.

I’m sure the clinically depressed people are sorry that they have disturbed you with their depression.

They might not be able to get over it, but they could make an effort not to depress the crap out of everyone around them. And they certainly should not have children. I mean, why do they do it? They know it can be passed on, and if they are unable to feel joy in anything, why have a baby? It’s not like the baby is going to make them happy.
