What was supposed to be a low key night of fun quickly turned into a party that would go down in the books as legendary.
His party drew 2,000 people to his familys farm house.
The party wasnt your average rager, though- it featured two DJs, a fire thrower, go-go dancers, and strippers.
I didnt make anyone stay here until 7 a.m. or 11 a.m. or whenever it is that everyone finally left. I didnt make this kid pass out on my floor (pointing to a man asleep on the floor).

He does have a point...where are the parents?
Paw Paw / Lawton had a annual event called “OD Acres” back in 60’s and early 70’s ...... Old farm turned into a local Woodstock of sorts .....:o)
That was theeeeee party to go to back when.
“The white trashing of America.”
Went to of these when I was in High School, in the 70’s. 500-700 people, in the Hoosier farmlands. It was a “Thing” then, and the local sheriff’s always tried to find and bust them.
Beer truck with 11 active taps, live band, and 80 acres of fields.
We had a few 500 person parties in college, the kind where you’d find a freshman behind the couch late the next day. But 2000? Epic.

We used to have “end of the world” parties at Central Mich U in the early 80’ - probably 10 blocks of students elbow to elbow. No room to stagger or fall down.
Way back in the 70’s we would rent a hall, hire a band, drive to Rainier Brewery in Seattle and buy the 32 gallon barrels of what was called Brew 66. Two bucks a head got your hand stamped and any fighting had to go outside. Usually about a hundred people or so, nobody ever got killed. Some did get arrested, though.
Once I found a girl INSIDE the couch the next day after I sat on it with my morning beer. I pulled her out, we made introductions and she asked for a beer without skipping a beat
So how many years have you been married now? lol.
Those parties were not centered at 104 E. Gaylord St, were they?
Can't say I remember... ;-)
Oddly, W High street comes to mind - then Main and Washington.
The house on Gaylord St was only a block from High St and one house away from Main. This was in the very early 70’s.
