I was cheering at 12 when I heard Rush on 1320 people on 228 must of thought i was nuts..bummed when I heard bloomnut on the list!!!
We’re only 2 miles from the studio and maybe 10 from the transmitter/tower and we cam’t get WJAS! Hope they can do something about that.
I apologize to those that are victims ... but you're not on the radio trying to tell people how stupid they are and how great you are.
Dropped off the DIL around 5:15 and could barely pick up WJAS. Went to pick up Mr S at the barbers around 5:30 and all of a sudden the signal was good! Picked up the Hannity show with no problem!
It almost sounds like they have the daytime and nighttime signals reversed. The engineers are most likely playing.
That is very encouraging! If they were retiring I don’t believe she would send that.
Re:Quinn’s twitter account. Early on someone posted a link to his account which allowed me to follow him without setting up my own account. After a computer mishap, I lost this ability. Anyone have that info?
Maybe I'm a bit paranoid after the last 6 yrs but AM reception is a lot worse than FM and I can't get 1320 after the sun goes down.

They are playing all three hours of Glenn Beck. I know a lot of people don’t like him, But he seems like a good man.
Now.....If Quinn ends up on 1320....that means he ends back on 13Q where he started back in the 70s. Maybe they will do cash calls.
I used to really like Glenn Beck - but then his show went weird. Sometimes, its really silly, and sometimes, its just strange. I think his heart is in the right place, but sometimes, I think his mind is just not there.

So this morning, took DH to (near) New Stanton to work; tuned into 1320am and got a pretty clear Frank Sinatra song (sweet!) I don’t take the TPike to his work, so I travel back on fairly rural back roads. Signal fairly strong til I got to a road that parallels TPike, then almost NO signal. Turn off that road (away from TPike) and I have a signal. When I turn into my housing plan (I can walk to TP from my house) the signal gets super staticky. So...does speed monitors affect AM signals? It was weird.
On my way to work (heading W on US30—and not near the TP) strong signal. I don’t know how it is at night because I forgot to tune in (tired after 10 hr retail day).

Getting ready for work and I had WJAS on for a bit. Signal was pretty good, much better than earlier today. Odd because it used to be good in the day and terrible at night.
Decades ago when we responded to QSL requests I often replied to reception reports from Finland, Sweden, Norway and sometimes more south from Germany and Italy.
WJAS had pretty good signal skip off the atmosphere.
That’s when radio was fun.

Good news (for me) that you had a stronger signal at night. So when the engineers correct that, I should (hopefully) get much better reception. I think a lot of my problems (reception at home) is having crappy radios.
I have been checking on Quinn’s Twitter...nothing said about Pgh radio switch.
