No gardening for me this past weekend, only enjoying the produce.

We went camping and floating on the Meramec with some friends.

Fresh tomatoes, sweet corn, a ratatouille that Mrs. Augie made, homemade cackleberries, pickles and probably some other stuff that I forgot.

Nobody went home hungry.

I had to look up cackleberries..The dictionary said the term was widely used during the 1950's.

Sounds like a great time. I haven’t been on a float trip in a coon’s age. Not sure I good survive and turn over, and we always had plenty of those.

We had a little lightweight fiberglass canoe. You had to carefully balance or it would turn over and dump us. We actually got pretty good at keeping balance, but I wouldn’t want to go through that again at this late date.LOL
