After the war he became a regular poster on FR.
Looks like a Sherman Firefly. One of those killed German tank ace Wittmann and his whole crew,17pdr shell penetrated the turret armour and set off the ammo.
John Wayne they ain’t. More like a brigade of Mickey Rooneys.
I just watched the Audi Murphy movie starring AudiMurphy. Now that was an incredible true life hero. A lot better than Brad Pitt at half the size.
I have a hard time imagining Brad Pitt as a battle hardened solder.
I could watch it.
Everybody in the world wants to kill tanks. Tanks are wonderful, happy machines. They are sort of a cross between an ice cream truck and a mobile library. And Tankers are the nicest guys around. They always say “Pardon me” before they try to grind you into hamburger with the tracks.

The best online game ever played. Drive all the models and prototypes of WWII. I love the Sherman line, getting all the shots bouncing off of my Rhino E2.
Lots of gas stations along the way?
Brad Pitt or not, it looks very good.
Looks like a great movie, but I’ve lost some of the zeal for this genre that I used to have:
There’s no doubt that THEN we held a much more honorable value set than the enemy, there, so I used to be totally unconflicted about the violence I saw; we were better than them.
Now we monitor the commo of every single person in the country —we can even permanently store the commo of entire countries. Veterans put in a lifetime of sacrifice but are cheated out of basic care. We arm narcos to generate murder headlines cuz the Constitution is the enemy.
Yeah, it’s our leadership, not us.
But then there’s THAT also; a lot of our people follow their orders simply cuz they’re that —orders.
WHO does that sound like, eh ? See ?
The men who died at Normandy, did they die to safeguard THIS?
I’m pretty sure they didn’t.
