I must have watched that video 50 times last night and I am pretty sure Tony did not even see him until the car in front of him slowed and turned down the track

Very odd since the victim clearly saw the driver, in fact was pointing at the driver who was approaching, and was staring right at him as he defiantly approached the vehicle and appeared to possibly yelling and pointing right at it.

In addition, the vehicle just prior to the suspects vehicle was no where near in front of the suspect vehicle, and was clearly on the inside of the track, away from the front of the suspect vehicle.

It appears that he has a history of "reckless" with a smile....and I think that's what the eventual call will be...reckless endangerment.

Can't stand Nancy Grace!!!!!!!! That's probably the worst insult I've ever gotten. Take it back!!

No one will ever convict a race driver...but he Civil Suits will be hefty

and frankly....I don't think he should ever be allowed on a track again for his little game playing racing deeds.

The bump was obviously during the green flag. The question is Stewart's action during the yellow flag. Was he cautious, extra cautious, or trying to intimidate when he is supposed to be cautious?

It appears the suspect driver clearly saw the victim prior to impact and in fact even had time to rev his engine and break traction at about the time of point of impact.

I thought Freepers would be the last ones to rush to judgement but you're proving me wrong.

There are an equal number of FReepers on this thread blaming the victim. It works both ways.

The question is the young driver’s actions during the yellow. If he remained in his car and thought, wow, I got spun by Tony Stewart, he would be alive to brag about it. If he ran onto an active racetrack, he would be killed.

You mean blaming the guy who chose to jump into traffic. Well yeah if he had stayed in his car this wouldn’t have happened.

Think about that though, ward moved out of the way..... He didn't do the same as Stewart's car was approaching and Stewart's car wasn't holding the same line.

ABC News World “News” Tonight at 6:00 PM Eastern time made it seem like this happened during a NASCAR race.

They showed clips of drivers throwing things at the cars of other drivers; from the looks of one of the cars, that particular clip was from the early 1970’s. Plus, they aired the argument that Joey Lagano had with Stewart in 2013.

Sensational, inaccurate, mistaken, misguided, and half-a$$ed “journalism” pretending to be an accurate news story. It was pathetic reporting. Makes me wonder if the individuals putting together this story have ever left Manhattan island in their life.

The “victim” commited suicide.

Argue that,

I watched the tape again and stopped it when Kevin was near Tony's car. It looks like Kevin was clear of the right front bumper and it looks like that's when Tony reamed it and his car left his line and veered to the right.

Kevin's dark suit was fully striped...I can't see where there would be any visual problem....especially in the dark.

If Kevin hadn’t been tapped on the previous lap, he never would have gotten out of his car. He knew it was over for him in that race.

There was no argument and likely the reason why you did not dispute my comments.

It would be helpful if you would learn the difference between arguing and reviewing video evidence and interpreting it in an unbiased manner.

Again, based on the video evidence, it appears the suspect driver had full view of the victim well prior to point of impact. No argument here.

So ‘tapping’ isn’t part of those races?

“appears” isn’t normally part of a factual statement.

“Sensational, inaccurate, mistaken, misguided, and half-a$$ed “journalism” pretending to be an accurate news story. It was pathetic reporting. Makes me wonder if the individuals putting together this story have ever left Manhattan island in their life.”

You have to understand how much the “enlightened” liberal HATES NASCAR.

-They burn EVIL GASOLINE, which contributes to Global Warming. They go fast, and leave a big “Carbon Footprint”.

-Liberals hate a competition that creates winners and losers. Remember, these are the same people that want to ban dodge ball, to prevent the loser from suffering the loss of self-esteem.

-They eat red meat.

-Before every race, there is a prayer, and the audience participates. Secular Liberals wouldn’t think of starting an event with a prayer. Liberals HATE that, and see it as a sign of ignorance.

-After the invocation, an Honor Guard marches in to present the American Flag. Liberals see the American Flag as an oppressive symbol and would prefer to see the Honor Guard march across the flag rather than carry it.

-Once the colors are presented, a guest sings the National Anthem. Liberals loathe the Anthem and view it as a song of blind patriotism.

- As the anthem ends and the crowd cheers as military aircraft fly over the race track. Rather than seeing this as symbols of freedom, Liberals view the military as a means to oppress people.

I really wish I was kidding, nut I’m not.

“Note the visibility out of the right side.”

Note also which direction the front wheels are turned. It’s not like on ice, when you’re taught to turn into the skid! Just the opposite goes into turning a dirt track car. You want to slide the fat rear tire up to touch the “cushion.” It’s not the same as deriving grandpa’s Oldsmobile!
