104.7 has switched to new Country format? So glad I moved from the ‘Burgh in February. I hope Q&R find a new home with internet signal. 104.7 has committed suicide.

Yeah, they flipped formats from talk to new country on 8/7. Which wasn’t too much of a suprise, they went from 4.5 in the ratings, when they still had Q&R down to 2.1 in the last, most recent ratings book. Dumping Q&R really made an impact.
They said there is only one country station in Pittsburgh, but there are really two. Froggy on 104.3 and the other one.
Froggy operates on two freqs. and WDSY has been country for ages and for 104.7 to think they can beat them is insane.
It has been explained to me that Clear Channel’s strategy is not to put 104.7 at the top of the ratings. It’s only to shave enough of the audience away from Y-108 (owned by CBS) to ensure that CC owned WDVE or 3WS finishes atop the ratings.
Yet another reason why we should limit how many stations any one owner can hold in a market.
We took 80/90 don’t remember..long ago..I remember stopping along the road and seeing a B52 flying awesome!!
Stopped in Deadwood and lost some money!!!
Next time I will wave..might make the trip again..

That’s the dumbest thing ever
Sort of the same way Campbells Soup and JELL-O make so many flavors that hardly anyone ever buys. They serve the purpose of crowding the competition off of the shelves.
Robin Williams..very sad!!
Broke my heart to hear about Robin Williams! WHY do people do that??? He had it all - talent, a loving wife, no money worries. The story is the same with so many celebrities. Very very sad.
