As we await word that Quinn and Rose are returning soon, - and it looks like something is in the works - our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will continue to meet in our usual spot as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, but we all stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!
RONALD REAGAN
RIP Robin Williams, but remember that he died by his own hand - not at God’s discretion. Rather, pray for those Christians that are, at this very moment, being tortured and killed for their faith.
Mornin’ everybuddy!
Morning AM!
How soon before the crazies are killing Christians here?
It seems the “our dear leader” could not care less!
Good morning n’@!
The rain over night causing ALL kinds of issue where I live...overnight we had a monsoon.
Wishing it would rain over MO and cool down the violence. The images are shocking and surreal from Ferguson. Just imagine what would happen if the Hill District, Homewood, Lincoln Larimer and Wilkinsburg all rioted (the Burgh would be surrounded basically). Scary times and the ADM if gonna stoke the flames (also a diversion from other news).
And I concur, RIP and Nanu Nanu Mr Williams (he was older, but we shared the same BDAY). He always seemed manic to me and the other side of that is deep depression (bi-polar?) it’s almost as if to be that quick witted there has to be something about their brains that is just so different.
Good morning!
The mixing boards are still in the old WJAS studios. That means either the new studios are getting new boards or they are not close to local, live talk.
Another concern is that they are presently using some of Clear Channel’s resources. It’s almost like CC sponsored buying the station just so they could flip WPGB and then ensure conservative talk would be on a station with a poor signal.
I have some pics of the studios but I’m on tablet so can’t post them. Maybe later today.
Meanwhile when we were at the farmer’s market last week we bought some Amish butter cheese. It is wonderful! I made some sliced potatoes in a cheese sauce with it. DEE-LISH!
The signal for WJAS was pretty good last night. Not great, but good. Had some static going on in the background. Weird thing was, after Joe Pags, around 10:00 there was some talk that sounded like arabic?? Interference from another station?
Morning..his wife last saw him monday nite around 10 PM????
So they are in the gold building as my wife calls it but are moving to new studios???No way would they let Jim and Rose in there..bad news on the 106.3. Here in Indiana we have Cat Country on 106.3 and I can hear it in Penn Hills.
Help I have lost my Roku remote..
That is truly series Greg! I hope you find it! :-)
Probably going to have to buy one..
for listeners to WJAS 1320 Pittsburgh, new home to Beck, Rush, and Hannity (would they put on Q&R someday?) , an unofficial Facebook group
https://www.facebook.com/groups/UnofficialWJAS1320/
The signal for WJAS has not been bad, but the sound quality has been crappy. Like a cheap old landline phone. I am presuming because it’s still running off a laptop.
Thanks..you have lots of good inside info...
WJAS moved there from the building I am in down the street.
FWIW I am posting a couple of pics of the old WJAS studios in my building. Note that the boards are still there. That means WJAS is either using new boards - not likely - or Clear Channel equipment.
That makes me think CC is calling the shots. Even so they wouldn't bar Q&R from the building.
The air studio
The production studio. When it was in operation the board was positioned on the counter facing the blinds, not the window into the air studio.
I worked with WWII surplus board huge compared to this. I had to bring my own music unless people wanted big band stuff!!
