Lol - as soon as I heard about dirt in coffee, I thought of Starbucks. I’m sure they use burnt dirt. Awful swill.

Greenwell Farms is an old, established coffee producer on the Kona Coast in Hawaii.

I can taste the difference and have changed brands twice because of it.

Thanks for your post! I love Green Mountain coffees. I have celiac disease and cannot risk having wheat in my coffee. I’ll stick with Green Mountain!

They used to mix dyed beans in with the coffee beans back in the 1800’s. What is old is new again.

“Karl Grummenschidt”

LOL!

And yes, Starbucks really does taste like `Geburned Schidt’, only now we know the reason why. No wonder they load it up with all that other latte mocha cappuccino cr@p. To hide the real flavor. And it’s still expensive!

Good question. Another question: do u know what’s in your hamburger?

<<><><

For both coffee and my burgers, the answer is yes.

I only buy whole bean coffee and grind only as much as I need for my French Press.

For the burgers, they started the day as a chuck roast that got intimate with my meat grinder attachment to my Kitchen Aid mixer.

<><><><

LOL.

The only thing keeping me from trying civet coffee is the price.

When eating sausage, we are eating intestine.

I’m sure as heck not stopping my sausage intake.

It's not just coffee - many other items like honey, tea, vitamins, and aloe are increasing having the same sort of problems.

Food, vitamin, and drug adulteration is a frequent topic at several annual NMR meetings (PANIC and SMASH), with several different strategies for screening by NMR and other methods.

I buy green beans and roast my own. The rest of it is crap. Sweet Marias

Sweet Maria's is great. We used to buy beans from them and roast at home, until our last iRoast2 broke.

What roaster do you use? Would like to get back into it but don't know what roaster to choose.
