The bell capt unloading our car asked xshub where we were from, he said DC and the guy (Anglo) said oh do you know Barack Obama? Xshub laughed and said oh yeah and the guy said amazingly enough he’s still pretty popular around here... He’s from here you know and he snickered. Xshub was pretty amazed at the veiled criticism. Xshub said well you can have him back.

Perhaps it is high time we supplied the peshmerga with the weapons they need to halt the threat of ISIL.

Just us. Xshub has a “conference” aka boondoggle. He’s tied up only until noon each day with that. Killing me not to eat fruit but it’s verboten on the diet. The diet is going fantastically well, so I’m not going to screw it up.

No fruit?

Are you going for ketosis?

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/385266/meet-one-federal-bureaucrat-who-controls-what-beer-labels-can-look-america-ryan#comments

He reportedly rejected a label for the beer King of Hearts that contained a playing card because the heart could make consumers believe the beer would have some sort of health benefit. And he reportedly denied another holiday-themed beer because it contained a warning for elves not to operate toy-making machinery while drinking, which Martin claimed would confuse consumers.

From your column

Despite many brewers’ disgust for the man the Daily Beast labeled a “pedantic pain in the ass,” some of his strongest opponents reportedly admire his work ethic and attention to detail. .

Yes have been in ketosis for a month. Once the carbs are out of your system, so are the cravings. I’m not craving fruit, physically, but xshub eating the pineapple in my presence is a little hard.

I find it hard to believe a single person calls those shots.

Why do you think I linked the article for ya?

Yeah, having one guy decide this seems bad. But then, imagine the committee...

I'm no longer a subscriber, but you get the gist from the headline. On American soil, where is the outrage?

I’ve wanted to do that but I’ve never gone through with it.

I have no will power.

As war once again rages emphatically in Iraq, America is faced with a choice: Step in decisively to help an ally in the Kurdish Peshmerga, or give lip-service assistance w/o "offending" Islam, thereby allowing the rabid ISIS to continue to wreak destruction & solidify their foothold. The atrocities these savages have committed seem graphic to even the most seasoned Jihadists -- they pillage peaceful, defenseless villages and capture Christian women for their harems, pegging each new conquest under the "banner" of Allah.

With the growing threat that ISIS could perhaps merge with other fundamentalist radical groups, and thus see their influence sphere magnified far beyond the current confines, the civilized world must make a stand against these barbarians at the gate ... To do any less would be akin to simply leaving sheep marching to the slaughter.

The thing is I do not believe a single person decides. I’m sure it’s an agency ofc of which he is head, and that’s here are written criteria. But yes judgment calls would be made along the way, and he would have the ultimate say.

Do not blame yinz for doubting I would have said both myself prior to doing this. It’s guaranteed weight loss. Unlike WW which gives all kind of leeway. I lost 22.7 in 5 weeks. Carbs are evil and what cause you to feel like crap I’m firmly convinced. Our 2 friends said 3-4 days of detox and then it’s easy. That has proven true. Helps you get to the point of realizing that you eat to live and not live to eat. Will see what the reintroduction of carbs feels like. Last week we ate out and the chicken I had must have been pan-seared with flour and I felt not great afterwards. Carbs are evil. Also I’m favoring tea over coffee (bc no dairy) and that’s a dramatic departure for me.
I’ve secured my chaise poolside, going to see about a spa apt whilst xshub golfs. Then pool and ocean. The sand is like silk so smooth on your feet!
