This ebola version/strain is not behaving as previous strains. It should have burned itself out, it hasn’t so far.

Ebola burned out in the past because it struck victims deep in the jungle who only had access to walking out as a means of transport. The incubation was typically 2 days and another day with active symptoms before death. It was contained by rapid killing of transport constrained victims.
The new strain has incubation periods from 2 to 21 days. Victims have access to planes, trains and automobiles. An infected person can travel a long distance in an asymptomic state. The lethality rate has dropped from 95 percent to 60 percent. Infected individuals hang on longer to pass the virus to new victims.
