I don’t like iOS because I want direct access to my own OS. I don’t like Android because I don’t trust anything produced by Google. I would like to see a touchscreen smartphone OS based on Google, QNX or even BeOS. I tried to grab one of those HP tablets when they were liquidated, no luck.

I guess I don’t get the point of buying a smartphone if it doesnt have access to the most possible apps What good would it do to be built around those OS’s if their options for apps run around a calculator and clumsy office apps?

I am not sure at what point they modified it for their purposeless.

In an attempt to conserve battery power I disabled "Google Play services" and now Android is constantly nagging at me about how something or other requires it - even though I don't download apps or any other content.
