See how much stuff your state and local police dept.s have bought in the last few years. Interesting.

Interesting. Not a whole lot from the county I live in.
The stated values are bizarre. $58.71 for a .45 acp pistol. $499 for a 5.56mm rifle.
Wish I could shop there...

I checked the database. My county is not on there. I note that the three ‘bugout’ counties that Mr S and I have talked about moving to are not on the list. 2/3 of Pa counties are on the list.

Just looked up the NC country I grew up in (Bertie). They're packing... a .45 and an M-16.
Guess Deputy Fife had a birthday. ;-)

Middlesex County, Mass., got an awful lot of “Rifle, 5.56 millimeter” and “Rifle, 7.62 millimeter” for a county that I thought was basically a shell.
A few years ago they talked about getting rid of counties in Massachusetts, or at least diminishing their importance to basically running the county jail. I guess Middlesex County won’t be disappearing anytime soon, huh?

$5.3 million for a fixed wing aircraft? And why does a county need camouflage net (radar scattering)?
Mine detector sets?
$11,500 for a demolition firing device?
$1,000 for a headset/microphone?
Headlights for $1,300 each? Times 8!!!
$733,000 for mine resistant vehicle? I thought they were getting these for free from military surplus!
A lot of 5.56 and 7.62 mm rifles.
$4,900 for a field sink?!!!

Bayonets and combat knives in Philadelphia. Not to mention a “SAW Gunner set” which leads me to think they have a SAW (Squad automatic weapon).
