A popular choice for some of the crowd on who the new Dr should be when they selected the new one was Rupert Grint, best known as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films. Some also wanted a black doctor which I wouldn’t have minded but those who were behind the idea would give no names of actors who could pull it off. Some camps also suggested a woman doctor but that would have ended it for me.

I forgot to add that Grint could be a good choice someday but he still needs some more acting miles behind him to meet the role.

I’m glad they started bringing family members in with the companions. It really adds to the show and some of them pay pretty prominent roles. Donna Nobel’s grandfather Wilfred was with the Tennant Doctor at the end.

I do wonder what happened with Rory’s dad. He asked in the last season if Rory and Amy would be OK and it ended up that the Angels got them in 1930s NY.

There are several excellent black British actors who could play the part. Idris Elba, Paterson Joseph, David Harewood to name three.
