Our planet has endured these natural climate disruptions for eons and has bounced back. Even the 1816 global cooling from Krakatoa only lasted a year. This totally disproves the idea of climate alarmists that we are on a climatological "tipping point" because of molecular level changes in CO2 levels. Our planet has feedback mechanisms that make it difficult for even these large scale events to totally change our climate let alone a molecular level change in CO2.
I have reminded the alarmists of that on occasion. I also know of one instance during WWII when a torpedoed tanker caused a beach to be seriously covered with oil. A year later it was pristine clean with no human involvement. Mother nature does mighty things - by design!
already reading the excuses for a continued pause in global warming it seems!
Awesome!
Always wanted to see the Thames frozen over, like it was 300 years ago...
No, it was caused by the 1815 volcano in the East Indies (present-day Indonesia).
Thanks!
Coldest winter ever caused by global warming.
I dunno about starvation, but I do know that notably Thomas Jefferson had crop failures which plunged him into debt. If you look at newspapers from that period, they were (obviously) really confused. The scientific speculation was quite interesting. Sunspots were one of the supposed causes.
Would the Muslims leave? If so theres a silver lining in the story.

A couple of my great-great-great-grandparents (husband and wife) died in 1817 in an area of Europe that was hard hit by famine. I don't have specific information about them but they may have been among the starvation victims. Now I know whom to blame.
But volcanos are also supposed to cause global warming.
This time around they have Dominoes Pizza to fall back on.
