I have thought pretty much the same thing. The weirdest part of the deal in 08 was McCain suspending his campaign. He was ahead in the polling by a slight margin and Obama was beginning to tank. When Bush gave his speech, I really thought I was hearing panic from a guy who addressed 9/11 with amazing calm and courage.

I was at work watching that presser and I told everyone around me: "He looks scared." Not a conspiracy nut, but something went on. That "crash" was orchestrated. Palin was pulling Maverick, by his ejection handle, ahead all by herself and the (D)Marxists were freaking. Their empty suit figuehead was going to lose after so much was invested.

Then? Presto! Economy tank. Nice timing.
