What movie would you like to see redone?

Posted on 08/23/2014 7:57:56 PM PDT by MNDude

Most people will always say that a movie that has been redone never should have been redone (the older someone is, the more they are apt to feel that way too). There are probably a few movies of course that is as good as better than the original (like True Grit?). There are also a few movies that might be nice to see remade if the original has a nice concept but was horribly directed or some movies might serve better updated for the times. What movie(s) would you like to see redone?

What would you change?

More importantly, what would be left in these politically correct times.

How about Gus Visser and His Singing Duck?

“When they do a remake they think they have to add a ton of Blood and Gore”

When they made a movie of Lost In Space, they added lots of evil and hate.

“I would like to see Starship Troopers redone”

Maybe. Then there are the Will Smith versions of I, Robot and I am Legend, but doing these according to Asimov and Matheson would not be remakes, but rather new movies.

I liked both movies, but had to realize that they had NOTHING to do with the novels.

You can search Youtube for other copies. It was a 1925 sound movie two years before the Jazz Singer.

Nay, nay! With Adam Baldwin.

My mom always watched old movies, I I did too. I loved The Inn of the Sixth Happiness with Ingrid Bergman. It was a true story.

Villian at end too cheesy.

The noise those things make when killed still creeps me out.

To: Not now, Not ever!

Blazing Saddles was the ultimate in political incorrectness. A remake done today would have to get rid of its best parts. And I doubt you could come up with a cast of the caliber of the original.
