Commanders taking the lead on dangerous missions

Hubby and I like this show, too; but, he also has complained about that very thing. I call it "Captain Kirk Syndrome".

Kirk syndrome come from those of us who wouldn’t ask a single man to do what we wouldn’t do.....

Remember spooks message...

Kirks reply was:

“Sometimes the needs of the one outweigh the needs of a few or the many”

That is why we put ourselves at risk to save a single person....it’s the message of humanity....vs the message of an alien...

Yes...I know...it’s fiction...

And I love the show.

By the third episode, I told my wife it was like Star Trek on the water. Kirk, Spock, Bones and Ensign skippy make up the landing party. Guess who ain't comin' back.
