Sorry Michael SF. I am 6’4 with long legs. ANY recline by the person in front of me crushes my knees. So, I am NOT sympathetic to the woman in 11B.

What if the 6'4" guy in the seat in front of you is scrunched in because the person in front of him reclined his seat too? Is he supposed to suck it up to give you more room?

Maybe the airlines should seat passengers based on height to avoid the problem. Stagger the short and talk people.
Or better, remove 20% of the seats and make more space so people can fly without getting injured.
I've been the 6’ 2” guy sandwiched between a short person reclining and a tall person behind me.
So I asked a nice short lady if she would switch me and wallah, problem solved.
This thread is funny though.
Of all the things we FReepers debate and toss around, this one has the real potential for extra fun.
It's not like this is a fundamental issue facing society.
