What, they can’t bump it up to the front of the line for something like this? Sounds like BS to me.

What are they doing a blood tox test for, and on who ?

Do they think the 9 year old girl was drunk ?

I think that I read some of the tests take that long to complete.

Exactly. I always wonder the same thing myself when a high profile death occurs and we are then told by the media that "it will take several weeks for toxicology test results to be complete" - suggesting that the samples have to wait in line behind a couple thousand people applying to work at Merrill Lynch or Raytheon.

Of course that is BS. Such a high profile test could be easily be moved to the head of the line and completed in the same day.

IIRC, it took 2 weeks for St Skittles’ tox screen to come back, and it was announced that St Blunts’ test would take the same time.

Does every deceased get a tox screen test? Not being a medical professional, I don’t know how complicated those things are. This article gives some insight:
