You really can’t believe anything you read unless you know the agenda of the writer. This sounds like a PITA piece.

The reason we don’t have huge guts like our much shorter lived simian relatives is it takes less gut to process protein. The high protein diet allowed us to get bigger and have huge brains. We out live all of our simian family tree and they eat, mostly, non-protein.

So, so true. If its reproducible chemistry, thermodynamics, etc., it is generally trustworthy. If it has to do with collecting data on human behavior, you can't trust any of it. I've seen far too many studies (most usually) that purposefully ignore major variables or massage the data to fit their agenda.

As a general rule, I can tell you what a study will conclude, if you tell me what it is, i.e. "What is the effect of global warming on racism." Only someone with preconceived notions and a heavy agenda would even propose asking the question.
